Shawn is a vivid storyteller!!! I'm not usually a fan of books that go back and forth between past and present, but it worked in this book.
The characters were deep and believable, and I found myself reflecting on my own faith and hope for the future.
It did take a few pages to actually pull me in, but once it did I was hooked and couldn't put it down. It was a page-turning, edge of your seat book dealing with Faith, Trauma, Family, Guilt, the blurred lines between adult realities and childhood fantasies, along with intrigue and every feeling in between! You know its a good book when every emotion is engaged.
