This book was well written but ultimately wasn't for me. I was hoping this book would be more of a thriller and it was not. I did like how Christianity was weaved into the book and wasn't in your face about it. If you like Christian fiction this might be a good book for you.

The book starts off with Cohen finding his father's body in the basement. You then witness Cohen dealing with the emotions of having his father on his death bed potentially and also the emotions from his parents separation that happen. Because of his parent's separation he is basically abandoned by both of his parents which quickly made it so he had to grow up. As he is struggling with what is happening to his dad he is also dealing with resentments from his childhood.

The book was an interesting read but ultimately not for me.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
