From the first chapter you can tell Cohen is going to be dealing with a lot of grief, even after reading two pages I feel saddened, the writing is just so emotional and I love Shawn Smucker's writing style. Every word he writes belongs there, every word he writes makes you feel, every word lets the emotions ahine through and i'm here for it. You can tell Cohen is very close with his father and doesn't know how to deal with his feelings when he finds him dead, at first he rejects it, carrys on with his day but you see the grief slowly seeping in. Cohen's family seem very religious and that makes me wonder, will religion play an important role in this story. Will Cohen be questioning God as to why his father died or will he lose faith all together.
