Just okay
With all the hype surrounding the release of this book I really wanted to, and expected to like it but I thought it was just okay. Nothing too exciting happened, in my opinion.
I thought it was going to get spooky and then it didn’t. I thought there would be more suspense or tension, but there wasn’t.
The first chapter was very promising with the unattended death of Cohen’s father and the mystery of why happened to him, but in my opinion it went downhill from there.
I didn’t particularly like the characters or really care about what ultimately happened to them.
I thought the writing was very good but the story just fell flat.
I received a copy of Light from Distant Stars from BookishFirst in exchange for my honest review.
