When I started Light from Distant Stars by Shawn Smucker, I thought it was going to be a totally different story line than what it actually was. I was expecting more of a thriller/mystery type read, where it was actually more of a story about faith, love, family and loss. The author is a great writer and in the end I did enjoy the story but at times, I felt like it was dragging on. Once I started getting closer to the end of the book it became more exciting and it did keep my interest a little bit more. I also felt like in the end, we were left with a few unanswered questions.

I received a copy of Light from Distant Stars from Bookishfirst in exchange for my honest review.

I would give the book 3 out of 5 stars.
