It's hard to come up with 700 words even for such a thought provoking book. Straight up didn't care for the flashbacks, but they make the story! They really annoyed me until I figured it out, which wasn't until close to the end. This book has scandal, violence, confessions and other sins. It takes a good, close look at an adult son and his dying son. What was lost over the infedelity if a father and what a curious boy with a crush found and then lost, to be found by son's mother that changed the lives of four people. A tragic accident/ murder I f two young children who are befriended souls of Cohen's. Add another murder and perhaps the murder/ suicide/accident of the father and you have a intriguing read.
