Interesting, but the Jury Is Out on This One

Is this book magical realism or fantasy or is a character going to awaken from a bad dream? I'm not sure, and I also am not sure I know how to rate this book. I have a feeling that it could be interesting, and the fact that the father's bald head was still shiny when it lay on the morgue floor now seems to be an important clue. However, this is one of those times where I definitely needed a few ore pages to get a feel for the story line.
