The first five chapters of this novel are quite impressive, drawing you quickly into the story and making you want to immediately know more about Cohen and his lifetime relationship with his parents. Who wouldn't want to know more, with the first chapter revealing Cohen leaving his father, apparently dead, on the floor of the mortuary without calling anyone about the accident?

The author is very talented in making scenes come alive. I can totally relate to the country church with no air conditioning, and there were several other scenes that were so totally realistic and described so perfectly that it was easy to feel you were part of the actual story as it was occurring.

I loved the title of the book and the cover--both were totally a draw for interest in this novel!

I would be thrilled to win a copy of this novel, but whether or not I do, I wish the author the best of luck in his career and will definitely want to finish this novel--one way or another!!!
