A world I do and don't recognize.

I clicked on this book first because I was drawn to the cover and the title. It's a beautiful cover, it would definitely make me pick up the book if I came across it in a shop. I am curious to see where this book heads. I love that right off the bat we're stepping over his father's corpse (or not stepping, as the case may be at the very beginning, and not a corpse as we quickly find out). I love the way the narrative keeps quickly flipping between the present and 1984, these short introductory chapters to get us into the rhythm of the piece. I can't wait to see how the rest of the book plays out!
