This is a book about two completely different people & point of views with life struggles that seem to have nothing to do with each other. To be honest I was starting to wonder what the point of these two different people that didn't even know each other was. I almost started to lose interest because it didn't feel like the two different stories were even going to end with any real significant plot, but thankfully the story stayed up to pace enough to hold my attention until things started to fall into place for me. I did however figure out what was going on way before it was finally exposed & mostly because I knew there would be no point to this book if not for exactly what I predicted was happening, but to give the author credit I did enjoy the ending & I didn't predict that was how everything was going to crash together nor how it would end up after everything was said & done. I felt like the aftermath of everything was a very realistic outcome though & that's very important to me in reading books, if I wanted some cheesy ending where everything is like roses & rainbows & most of all completely unrealistic then I would pick up a fantasy genre instead, but the author found a way to make the ending still a happy one but a realistic happy. I really did enjoy this book though, it did hold my attention throughout the story & even though I could predict what was happening before it was revealed I still wanted to know what was going to happen to them when everything did finally come to crashing head. I do recommend this book for anyone who loves a good mystery along with daily struggles that are relatable including some harder subjects like parents who have a drug problem, in today's world with the war on drugs & opiate epidemic this is something that sadly is more common than most people would like to realize or accept but also by including it in stories like this one it can maybe even help a young adult out there suffering from this type of situation & know they're not alone & that's just one of the many things that are included in this story that are struggles that people go through.
