I wasn't sure what to expect with this one which is why I was so surprised that I couldn't put it down! I liked the writing style, it was a light read but still packed with some serious themes. The novel flips back and forth between Elyse and Gabe's stories (every other chapter is one or the other). I wouldn't call it a gripping read yet I found myself gripped ("just one more chapter.."!). I eagerly awaited each character's story unfolding, which was also a pleasant surprise since I usually find, in writing styles like this one, I tend to veer more towards one character's story over the other. It was great to enjoy each character's story in it's own right but constantly trying to piece together a relation between the two. Great read!!
