I read an extended, sample summary of this book and give it three stars out of five stars thus far (four chapters into the story) and would like to continue the story, but would not be devistated if I could not do so for some reason.

The plot and each chapter switches back and forth between two seemingly seperate storylines. One story is the story of Gabe, his relationships, and his accident and one story is the story of Elyse, her family, her insecurities, and her friendship. After four chapters, it's not clear to me how Gabe and Elyse are connected, but I would be interested to see if and how their stories intertwine later in the book or what themes, at least, connect them. It does seem both have a longing to be valued, but beyond that shared attribute, I am not sure what they share in this story.

I enjoyed the writing style of this book and am currently thinking that this might be a book I would read in the future via library checkout.
