The parallels between these two teens is striking. Both carry secrets (of course), but their lives are so very different at the same time, in fact at a quick glance it'd be easy to say that everything that could be different between them is. I'm sure that'll prove to be a less and less accurate statement as the novel goes on, but it'll be an interesting ride nonetheless.
I think that's the reason why I was immediately drawn into the story, despite this not normally being what I'd typically choose to read. I'll confess I'm more than a little curious to find out what the hinted twist is.
