Every one of Wilbur Smith‘s novels question our humanity, because it draws on specific moments on history. Most of the time, he focus on history’s dark side and shows us a little bit of the light (the good). I believe those who love history, sociology, and philosophy would devour his novels, because of the social and political commentaries they are alluding to. I am curious to the questions you come up with while reading this novel. Wilbur Smith’s “Legacy of War” takes place after World War II and chose the implications of the war’s aftermath. The writing was strong with a good pace that never left me bored. The dialogue was natural from it time period. I felt as though I time travelled with the contents of this novel.More importantly, I find his novels to be cinematic with its thrills and action. I am excited to add more of his novels to my home library in the coming years.
