I like the idea
Saffron and Gerhard are married. Gerhard's brother, Konrad is a Nazi supporter even after Hitler died and wants the legacy to go on. Konrad is a commanding officer in Kenya. As the circumstances get more terrorizing, Saffron's family is in danger.
This was apparently Wilbur Smith's 19th book in the Courtney series and I wasn't aware of that. This was my first book reading by him so there might have been bits of details that I might have not known about each character.
At the beginning of the book, I was really hooked, however as the book kept going on, more characters appeared. When this occured, it became hard for me to keep up with who was who and who was connected to who.
In general, this book was a great historical fiction to read and I definetely learned a lot about what was going on during that time period. I also got to learn a lot of vocabulary words!
