It may just be me but I wasn't able to really connect or become engaged in the story. The synopsis was intriguing but the first look wasn't. I did like the writing style. It felt like a nice classic. However, I don't really feel the need to continue or see how things play out. If I feel that way then maybe it's best to let someone else get the book. Someone who will like it more than me.
