I’m sure this premise would be popular with its audience, but as someone out of that target, I’m not sure what this has to stand out in the plethora of YA murder mysteries set among rich kids. And I get it—I’ll read all the adult rom-coms, even though they’re all fairly the same, but the writing and the characters just aren’t engaging me here.
