Wow! I was very unsure of this book at first. I was daunted by the subject matter and the story. It all seemed very intense to me and I didn't see myself enjoying it. However, I fell in love with these characters, not because they are the most amazing people ever of course, but I just understood their motivations and they made me feel incredibly hooked into the story. I was interested in what was going to happen next with every page and every word.
I wasn't always sure of where the plot was going and at times things felt a bit scattered, but I never really doubted that things would come together and in the end they did. My favorite kind of book has twists and turns all along the way and this was just that.
