Learn, Improve, Master by Nick Velasquez is an extremely useful book that gives real strategies on how to become a true master. It's interesting how irrelevant talent seems to be, as Velasquez truly makes you believe that you can learn how to do anything, regardless of innate ability. He outlines how putting in the time and effort truly make the difference and encourages people not to make excuses for themselves. Once we can put aside our egos and immediate gratification, anything we desire can be within reach. I found the section on memory palaces particularly interesting, as well as the distinction Velasquez makes between recognition and recall. His anecdotes and examples are fun and compelling, and I really enjoyed reading the stories of so many accomplished athletes. Ultimately, Velasquez knows how to make you believe that with commitment and effective learning, mastery is possible, even for average people.
