I love the way that you're in Evander's mind in the novel. The cast of characters show so much love for each other, and it's fun to unravel the mystery. I think it is also written accurately for the time period it is written in. The only thing that I kind of disliked was that I figured out the mystery before it was revealed. I kind of hope that this will be the start of a new series though.
The cover also evokes the sense of setting it might be in.
I'd recommend this if you like a lighter mystery, queer characters, and family drama.
