I loved the “first look” of this book. It opens into a bar with Evander Mills drinking his life away after he has been fired from the police department after being caught in a raid at a gay bar in San Francisco. He is approached by Irene’s widow, with a job proposition. The job is to find out what happened to Irene as her death seemed very sudden and mysterious.
As far as I can tell with the “first look” I am very intrigued. I love the LGBTQ+ plot line of this book and the fact that it is so well written, in my opinion is another selling point.
I definitely can tell this will be a whodunit type of book by the excerpt that I read. However, it is also a historical fiction if that makes sense? Because it is based on the 1950’s.
Honestly, can’t wait to get my hands on the whole book and read it all and give a fill review on the remainder. I do not think it could disappoint!
