This book was enjoyable. Even though he had problems in life he was experiencing and was trying to be tough, he was human too. I enjoyed the excerpt of this book.
I liked that he stepped in to help the young lady who was having some trouble with, we assume, her boyfriend. He seemed funny and witty at times. The style of writing was good. Even though I don't always read suspense, I thought it was enjoyable. I liked his first name, "Evander". He seemed to be a stressed out former officer. He seemed to be well known, especially with the ladies. It didn't seem like a typical washed up cop story. I think I would read this again. I think I would recommend this book also. Like I said even though I don't always read suspense I decided to try it and I liked the book. If someone recommended this to me, I would've probably been reluctant but I did like it. Thanks
