First thing I can say about this preview is that Evander is an excellent main character! Right off the bat he is intriguing and we have questions. We instantly know that he's honorable, but troubled in some way, and find out soon after that this "tough guy" character is queer, which is refreshing.
This author has a way with descriptions, from character to environment, and builds such a lush world and cast that I can't wait to learn more!!
The cover is stunning with it's little macabre details and fits well with the narrative.
