This is a historical fiction book. It takes place in the mid 1900's. The main character is a detective who's been fired after being found out for being gay. He is hired to investigate a possible murder of a woman, who lived her life surrounded by those in the same community. There are many underlying dynamics in the family between lovers and marriages and hiding their secrets.
