Before I read the first look, the one thing that caught my eye was the fact was that people who were part of the LGBTQIA2+ community happily lived out of the closet, which is something that you often do not see in stories that are set in the 1950's. Another thing that I liked about this book is that it's told from a male point of view, which isn't as common as the female one is. I really liked how the events of the book as shown in the first look represent what could have happened in the 1950's, which is something authors often don't get right.

One of the best things of the book [that I've seen] is the cover and how beautifully the colours manage to merge together and form the silhouette of a person.
