After reading the first 29pages, I can't wait to read the rest of the book. I am very intrigued by the setting and the story of course. Evander Mills is..was a detective until his fellow co-workers discovered he is queer. They fired him and he is now hired as a private investigator by Irene Lamontaine, whose wife she believes was murdered.
