10 pages in and I'm hooked. The First Look really grabbed me right off the bat. I love the "down and out former cop" types and the family really intrigues me. I just want to keep reading and that's saying a lot for me these days. Also, I really love the cleverness of the cover, the intermingling of the silhouette, the elegance of the pattern, and (to me at least) the illusion of bars, as if in a jail cell. This really looks like a great book.
