I'm honestly having a hard time putting into words what this book was about or what genre it would fit. I guess the best way to describe it is a book that focuses on small-town life and the people in it.

Laurentian Divide is the second book in the Northern Trilogy. I have not read the first book, so I cannot truly say that that would have changed my opinion on this book. Author Sarah Stonich has a true gift in that her descriptions of the characters and the overall character development was amazing. Her characters were unique, quirky and so easy to relate to and like. There are a LOT of characters to keep track of, BUT Sarah Stonich does an amazing job in keeping them unique and easy to remember. The book really does focus on small town life and the gossip & routine of that.

It was an easy read with no major complaints.
