Really liked
Alot of people recommended reading the authors first book, Vacationland, before delving into this one but I thought this novel was just fine on its own. I loved the winter/spring setting and the remote town of Minnesota ambiance. I enjoyed reading about Rauri and the mystery and suspense regarding his disappearance and also found the story line with Alpo and Sissy very appealing.
The only downfall is I spent a long time reading this and its not very long of a novel. The story is very slow-burn and I felt like I was needing something to push me to keep reading for longer amounts of time. I would recommend this for people who enjoy slow burning contemporary story lines with a hint of mystery attached.
