This book has the most vivacious characters! They come to life right off the page. I absolutely love the way they develop throughout the book. I also really like the language used throughout. It is easily readable and straight to the point. The dialogue is pristine: not only is it realistic, but it also has a liveliness to it that I really like. It keeps you engaged.
I must comment on the fact that I didn't know it was the second in the series. I see that other have said the same thing. I do wish it said somewhere on the book that there is a book 1, because I was a bit lost on this idea.
With that, however, I still really liked it despite not knowing about the series. It was well written!
