I must admit that the synopsis it a bit vague for my liking. Usually if a book doesn't go a bit more into detail about the subject matter it is hard for me to determine whether I would like it or not. Also, the cover of the book doesn't " pop" out to me either. I wouldn't grab this off of the shelf based on appearance alone.
That being said with a summary that is so uncertain and art on the front cover that doesn't really depict any certain topic I believe that this novel will rely mostly on its ratings to be picked up. I would love to be one of the people to help to give this book a great rating and take a chance. I often find myself reaching for the self-published or books not very well known or with minimal ratings on Netgalley --sometimes ones I know absolutely nothing about. Often times I end up pleasantly surprised! Maybe, just maybe, that will be the case here.
