Wow! True crime fans are in for a good read with this one. It’s a case that I wasn’t at all familiar with and it was so heartbreaking and scary to read about. I had to constantly remind myself that these were REAL people who suffered in such terrible ways. The best thing that author Elon Green did was talk about the victims not JUST as victims, but as real people with families and jobs and personal lives. I was able to feel so much more for these families because of how Green told their stories.
It is evident that Green went above and beyond with his researching and worked hard to cover the story from all angles. I felt I had a complete picture of this case by the time I finished reading. The quotes and interviews featured also really help to make you feel as though you were part of the investigation.
My heart aches for these families and all they went through over the course of so many years. I am really pleased that Green decided to tell their story and hope that you will pick up a copy for yourself.
