I was about to put this book down in the first five pages. It was so confusing just jumping into a murder scene, then all of the names, detectives, places, etc. I was about to call it quits.
However, I stayed with the book and it became easier to track who was killed, when they were killed and the lives of the victims.
It was sad to read about how closeted the victims were during the early 1990s and the early stages of the AIDS epidemic.
The writing was good, the book had a good flow, and I felt deeply for the families affected by the murders.
The problem that I had and no one except the killer can answer is....were there more victims then the 3 that could be tied to him (we know he had killed before in college). So weird that he would just stop killing after the 3 known ones.
Did the author try to determine if similar killings happened with the killer went on vacation?

Overall a good, true crime book, that left me with more questions then answers, but I don't think that the author knows the answers either.
