A non-fiction book that details the lives and murders of 5 gay men between 1991-1993. It's obvious that police are dealing with a serial killer, but it will take them 10 years until they solve the case. The men all have ties to the NYC gay community and bars and are similar in nature, so why does it take so long to find the killer?

I was intrigued by this story from the beginning. I love details and Elon Green delivers them. Sometimes, a little too many. So much so that it caused me to become distracted with too many names and irrelevancy to the topic at hand. But, in other parts they were greatly appreciated and long overdue for the victims. I appreciate the extensive research he did to help us get to know these forgotten men.
I'm glad that he didn't spend too much time on the trial and gave us just what we needed to know.

Overall, this was a very well researched book of a string of murders that did not get enough attention when they happened.
