Interesting true crime novel!
Thank you to Celadon Books for sending me an ARC in exchange for my review! This book was very interesting, I'm a true crime fanatic and I had never heard of the 'Last Call Killer.' This book is an absolute must read for any true crime lovers out there!
In the 1980's and 1990's the Last Call Killer targeted gay men in New York. This was during the AIDs epidemic, and sadly because of that these crimes weren't exactly headline news.
This book was clearly well researched, Elon Green's writing gracefully brought such horrific crimes to light. The narrative was easy to follow and I read it entirely in one sitting. The details about the victims personal lives, the investigation and court case were perfectly woven together. This book was also extremely enlightening about the queer community back then, evident these victims did not receive the attention they deserved back then because of that. Green's writing showed these men were more than just victims, they were fathers, husbands, etc. This book was a heavy read but overall I enjoyed it!
