Well this was a bit different from what I was expecting. I love true crime stuff so I was looking forward to reading this one. It’s pretty short so it’s a quick read which is nice. There was definitely a lot of research and details put into this book and at times it felt like too much, especially in regards to all the different types of gay bars and all their locations. I get why all this information was included but it was a bit much and took away from the “true crime-ness” of the story. I loved the details of the actual crimes though and all the anatomy details that were included. I also love that the author included maps of the crimes around the different areas. That was a really cool addition to the book. It was also a good insight on how the gay community was treated during that time period and how the AIDS epidemic played a role in that. Overall it was a good read. My fellow true crime lovers should definitely give this one a go.
