I actually already read a copy of this book and enjoyed it. The reason is because it takes place and NYC and I was able to relate to the area. I like to read about true crime stories and it looks intriguing at the time. I would recommend this to anyone who likes true crime.
Growing up in NY in the 70's-80's during the AIDs epidemic I remembered back to the way times were and how they have changed. So many lives lost and families shattered. But it also brought back memories of all the places and things referenced in a good way. I passed this book along to my brother who could also relate.
If you like true crime and can relate to NY is 70-80's you would enjoy it more. It has mystery along with history.
I have never read anything by this author but it had me looking up to see what/if he wrote anything else.
