Wow, this book did not disappoint and any true crime reader should read this book. The author Elon Green is not a gay man himself but he is an ally and believed that if he didn't write this story it would be lost in history. I am so glad he wrote this book and did years of work conducting repeated interviews with selected family members, friends, and associates of the victims. Green also made it a point to not focus on the killer which I really thought was a powerful message to society when we look at these tragedies against the LQBTQ community. Because of Aids and other beliefs Queer and Trans Pennsylvanians became targets and one summer a queer bookstore was bombed twice. I was shocked to read this in the book and then while trying to do my own research online there was no record of the incident online. Green has done an amazing job sharing a piece of history with us and I definitely recommend to all readers.
