This book intrigued me from the start. I found the case interesting, and the author takes care to build the personalities of the victim and the people he knew. You felt like you really had a sense as to who Peter was as a person. I was interested in how the case would build, and of course, who was killing and why. This is also a historical era that I don't know much about, but the level of detail from the author made the world come alive for me.
