I was pleasantly surprised when I finished this book and enjoyed it, I was skeptical at first since I have never read a book like this one but I was willing to try a new style of book. My favorite thing about this whole book was how it was chopped up into short stories, since this was a completely new style and topic for me I liked how the author had the book as a collection of stories instead of one whole book with one pertaining story. I love learning the ins and outs of new cultures through books, this book especially gave you all of the good and even the bad details about the culture. I also liked how the author gave us a wide view of all parts of the culture including the history and how these societies norms came about. Overall this book was a total random pick that I didn’t know if I was going to like it or not, but surprisingly I really enjoyed this book and I have already lent it to my sister to read!
