Short story anthologies are not my usual go-to when browsing, but Te-Ping Chen's "Land of Big Numbers" is exceptional. Chen's writing is commanding and masterful, both lyrical and easy to follow. The reader is thrust into a world of relatable complexities contrasted with dark, humanistic realities.
At a time when so much of the world is hurting and divided, Chen's stories give us much needed perspective. I can't wait to read more!
