**Sighs in Uppercase** I really really wanted to love everything about this book. I love the cover so hard and it was reminiscent of some of the easier dark Gothic, paranormal books from the early to mid, 2000's. I mean the cover is so beautiful and it really drew me to want to read this book. The story however, is a different matter altogether. The first one hundred pages was really slow and I felt like I did not know how old the main characters were. Was she 12 or 18? She acted like both at times and it was hard to discern how mature she should have been. Also, I felt that the main girl showed too much physical attention and affection to her brother. She was always touching his arms, laying her head on his shoulder, grabbing his hand and all sorts of things. I can understand it to an extent, I mean I have five brothers. But I've never touched them as much as what she does. Its odd in my opinion. The plot of the story was basic, lacked chemistry and honestly, Rowan was the only good part of it. I kept reading for him, In hope that it would pick up. The writing itself was done well, just lacked climax and feeling if that makes sense.
