This book sounds just perfect for the fall season!! It is very atmospheric, not creepy but just mysterious enough to want more. Everything is set up from the first chapter with the introduction of characters Leta, her bother, Arien, and their sinister mother. To me, it is reminiscent of Gallant by V.E. Schwab for its fast-paced writing, but also Christine Lynn Herman's The Devouring Gray for its monster and small-town mystery vibe. I am so ready to dive into the entire book--it will be perfect for the spooky season approaching!
