"Kiss & Tell" by Adib Khorram is the story of seventeen year old Hunter Drake, a boy band member who recently broke up with his ex (and bandmate's twin brother!) Aiden. Hunter's used to being told what to do by his label, but when Aiden reveals personal information all hell breaks loose and Hunter's not sure if he can take it anymore.

I love bands and music, so this book was right up my alley! This book tackles homophobia, racism, and the commodification of band members lives and bodies in meaningful and thought-provoking ways. I found myself getting angry at fictional journalists and fans who vilified Hunter for having sex or harassed band members because they thought they had the right to, which clearly means Adib Khorram is an incredible writer. I also love the mix of e-mails, fanfic, and gossip articles mixed within the chapters. It's a fun way to build the world and by the end it absolutely felt like Kiss & Tell was a real band.

This book does contain mentions of homophobia, sexual harassment, and racism so take care of yourself when reading!
