Being part of a boy band who has finally made it and struggling with how to have a relationship and breakup in the spotlight has really weighed on Hunter. He is the only gay member of his band and dealing with the expectations that becoming a star in the spotlight has placed on him. Being a "role model" to other gay and queer youth when he feels that he has in fact been fairly privileged. When Hunter starts to talk with a gay drummer named Kaivan who is also on their tour Hunter seems to feel more like himself.
I wouldn't normally read a book like this since it doesn't really coincide with anything that I know. It was very interesting how different attraction is described when it is from a male perspective and about a male. I was very surprised to enjoy this book and am excited to see what happens later during the tour with Hunter and Kaivan and if Aidan turns up later to try and sabotage what they have.
I also really enjoyed Hunters interest in Hockey.
