I really enjoyed how the book began with news articles about the band. Multimedia storytelling helps keep things engaging and sets the stage without being to tell-y (as opposed to show-y). The inclusion of song lyrics and a set list give a similar push. Everyone loves a good celebrity romance, and this technique really gets the reader into that headspace from off the bat!
