I felt so pleasantly surprised at this book. While it had a lot more steam than my usual read, it also packed some depth. I love that it had the author's authentic perspective on a character on the autism spectrum and that it gives some insight into how people's minds can have a lot more going on than we see on the surface, despite the person appearing functioning.
The story flowed really well until a scene toward the end, but overall I felt glued to the book. It gave me a good escape and lift during a stressful time, and I appreciate the hope it provided through the characters facing and overcoming their internal struggles.
Now I look forward to reading Hoang's next book The Bride Test.
