I want to start off by saying, I do not read romance. Oftentimes I feel invested into the characters at the beginning but that fizzles out and I lose interest. With this book, however, I was drawn in by the complexity of the characters. It is a great character driven story.
I also want to mention, I have worked in the special education field for coming up on ten years. I worked very closely with kids with varying degrees of autism and Asperger syndrome. I’m glad that attention is being brought to mental and developmental health through writing and stories. It is important. So, that is one main reason why I loved this book- the personal connection I have with the topic of Asperger and Autism.
