I kind of avoided this on purpose. I thought there was too much hype. I'd been burned by excessive hype before. Books people raved about but I only thought were okay, maybe even less than okay. So I avoided this. Then my son was diagnosed with high functioning autism, and I became a lot more interested in this book. I thought, even if it's overhyped, it's a look into their world, from their eyes, right?

OMG. I'm still wiping away my tears.

Stella is the sweetest, most wonderful person, and I want to be her friend and let her talk economics to me until my ears go numb and then we'll watch martial arts movies and I will destroy anyone who tries to hurt her. Michael was such a good match for my girl Stella. The love that poured out of both of them was so beautiful. Every way that Stella had to work harder to make herself fit in our society made my heart ache, and then there was Michael telling her it was okay. I'm gonna cry again just remembering.

This was absolutely the most adorable romance I've read in a very long time, while also being the most intensely sexy romance I've read in a very long time, and the first in a VERY long time to really pull my heartstrings and leave me crying into my comforter. I feel so empty and book hungover and I don't know how to fix this.

Oh yes I do. Time to pick up The Bride Test.
