As they got to know each other, both became more attached to one another. They even decided to be in a pretend relationship and went as far as meeting each other's families, which is definitely a big deal. Especially when they both know that part of the deal is that they will have to end it. Michael has his reasons for being an escort and Stella tries to hide the reason for her social awkwardness. Their dynamic has sparked from the get go and I love their instant attraction, but it's not instalove! I felt their interactions through the book, feeling what they are feeling and wanting so much more for the both of them. Also, I'm Vietnamese American so having Viet rep and a book written by a Vietnamese American author is super exciting for me!
